Tenax Aerospace, LLC, a Mississippi-based company specializing in Special Mission Aviation Solutions for U.S. Government and commercial customers is growing and will be adding positions for Challenger 650 rated Pilots. This position focuses on operating a modified Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft for airborne data acquisition missions, including aerial surveys, and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, often in challenging domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) environments. Tenax is known for its flexible operations, well equipped aircraft, and interesting missions with a broad range of capabilities ranging from Mapping, to ISR, to Wildland Firefighting.
The Mission
- Flight Operations: Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) for CONUS/OCONUS data acquisition flights, including precise aerial surveys tailored to sensor specific flight profiles. Operations are conducted in compliance with FAA regulations, DCMA 82210-1D, local customer SOPs, and Company policies and SOPs.
- Mission Support: Assist with planning, aircrew mobilization, weather assessment, and airspace coordination, Conduct Pre- and post flight briefings with Tenax and customer teams.
- Professional Representation: interface with U.S. and foreign government reps, maintaining a professional image. Provide daily updates to Chief Pilot and Flight Operations Manager.
- Other Duties: Handel additional assignments, maintain certifications, (e.g., medical, type ratings, recurrent training), and support customer needs.
- Deployment Readiness: maintain all applicable documentation and certifications for deployment eligibility based on specific customer and location requirements to include but not limited to items such as, all general and location specific training, Passport, specific VISAs. Deployment locations can be worldwide depending on missions and often are in austere locations.
- Primarily field based with varying levels of office structure ranging from full field offices to hotel rooms to FBO style shared space.
- Involves frequent travel on a rotational basis to CONUS and OCONUS locations typically with a 60/60 rotational schedule.
- Requires some physical capability (lifting 50+ lbs) and flexibility for long hours. Typical flights are 10 hours in length with 12 hour total duty days.
- High School Diploma.
- Current FAA Multi-Engine Commercial pilot license with Instrument Rating
- FAA Class II Medical Certificate
- Flight time experience: total time of 3,000 hours of which 1,500 must be multiengine turbine time. Additionally, 500 hours of the 1,500 hours must be multiengine turbojet time.
- Must have 1,000 hours PIC of which 300 must be in a similar type aircraft.
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit
- Possess a valid driver's license and an international driver's permit
- Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds
- Ability to work extra hours when necessary
- Possess a current US Passport
- Able to secure necessary VISA(s)
- Must possess and maintain TS-SCI level security clearance
- Must be able to complete pre-deployment training, DOT drug testing, and a medical examination in accordance with program standards through a CONUS Replacement Center
- ATP Certificate
- Challenger 650 type rating
- International PIC flight experience
- Prior US Government operational flight experience
- Experience flying ISR, aerial mapping, or airborne data collection mission profiles
- Prior overseas military or government rotation experience
- Familiarity with DCMA Instruction 8210-1C or Army Regulation 95-20
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
