Description
REACH Medical Holdings seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support air medical transport operations in the Healthcare & Medical Services industry. Based in the Transportation & Logistics department, you will safely operate helicopters for emergency and interfacility medical flights, ensuring rapid, reliable access to critical care. You’ll work closely with flight nurses, paramedics, and communications staff to plan and execute missions in a safety-first, team-oriented culture. Responsibilities include preflight inspections, safe aircraft operation in diverse weather and terrain, strict adherence to FAA and company procedures, and active participation in training and safety programs.Safely operate helicopters for emergency and interfacility medical transports.
Conduct thorough preflight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and documentation.
Plan and execute flights in compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
Collaborate with medical crews and dispatch to coordinate safe, timely patient transport.
Assess weather, terrain, and operational risks; apply sound aeronautical decision-making.
Maintain proficiency in IFR, NVG, and low-visibility operations as required.
Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and safety/quality improvement programs.
Complete accurate flight, maintenance, and regulatory records.
Support a safety-first, high-performance, and collaborative team culture.
Ensure professional communication with hospitals, EMS agencies, and operations staff.
Helicopter flight operations
Rotorcraft aerodynamics and performance
IFR procedures and navigation
NVG (Night Vision Goggle) operations
Weather analysis and flight planning
Airspace and FAA regulatory compliance (Part 135 or similar)
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Radio communication and aviation phraseology
Emergency and abnormal procedures
Safety and risk management in EMS aviation

Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter License
Instrument Rating – Helicopter
Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate (or higher)
Minimum required flight hours in rotor-wing EMS or similar operations

EMS/air medical flight experience preferred
IFR operations experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass company training and check rides
Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
