Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Helicopter Pilot to support air medical transport operations in Emergency Services. The pilot will safely operate EMS-configured helicopters for interfacility transfers and scene responses, working closely with clinical crews to deliver rapid, high-quality patient transport. Responsibilities include preflight planning, safe aircraft operation in day/night and adverse conditions, strict adherence to FAA, company, and safety protocols, and effective communication with dispatch, medical teams, and ATC. Med-Trans offers a safety-first, mission-driven culture, continuous training, advanced aviation technology, and strong opportunities for professional growth.Perform safe helicopter operations for air medical transports, including scene calls and interfacility transfers
Conduct thorough preflight, in-flight, and post-flight checks and documentation
Plan and execute flights under VFR/IFR in diverse weather and terrain while maintaining safety margins
Comply with all FAA regulations, Med-Trans policies, and Emergency Services protocols
Coordinate effectively with medical crew, dispatch, ATC, and ground EMS agencies
Maintain aircraft readiness, reporting maintenance issues promptly
Use NVG and advanced avionics when required for night and adverse-condition operations
Participate in safety meetings, training, and simulator/checkride evaluations
Support a mission-driven, team-oriented culture focused on patient care and risk management
Respond to time-critical missions while managing risk and operational decision-making
Rotorcraft flight operations
IFR helicopter operations
VFR navigation and flight planning
NVG (night vision goggle) operations
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Air medical/EMS flight procedures
Radio communication and ATC coordination
Weather analysis and decision-making
Flight risk assessment and safety management
Knowledge of FAA Part 135 regulations

Instrument Helicopter Rating
Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher)

Part 135/air medical operations experience preferred
