Med-Trans Corporation seeks a skilled Helicopter Pilot to support Emergency Services air medical missions. In this safety-first, mission-driven role, you will conduct IFR/VFR flights transporting critical patients, ensuring strict adherence to FAA regulations and company SOPs. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical and ground teams, participate in ongoing training, and support pre/post-flight planning, risk assessment, and aircraft safety. Operate helicopters for emergency air medical transport under VFR/IFR conditions
Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations and Med-Trans safety policies
Conduct pre-flight planning, weather evaluation, and risk assessments
Perform thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections of the aircraft
Coordinate with medical crews, dispatch, and ground teams for safe patient transport
Maintain accurate flight logs and operational documentation
Participate in recurrent training, check rides, and safety drills
Support base safety culture, including reporting hazards and participating in safety meetings
Assist with on-call and standby duties as scheduled
Represent Med-Trans professionally during hospital and community interactions
Helicopter flight operations (rotor-wing)
IFR/VFR navigation and procedures
Aviation weather interpretation
Aviation safety and risk management
Night flying and NVG operations
Air medical/EMS flight operations
Radio communication and ATC coordination
Aircraft pre-flight and post-flight inspection
Flight planning and fuel management

Minimum required rotor-wing flight hours per company policy
Night and IFR flight experience
EMS/air medical flight experience preferred
NVG (Night Vision Goggle) experience preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Completion of company and hospital orientation/training
