Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Helicopter Pilot to support Emergency Services air medical operations. In this role, you will conduct safe, efficient VFR/IFR helicopter flights for emergent and interfacility patient transports, working closely with clinical and EMS teams. Responsibilities include preflight planning, weather and risk assessments, adherence to FAA and company safety standards, and precise communication with dispatch and ATC. Med-Trans offers a safety-first, mission-driven culture with strong emphasis on clinical excellence, continuous training, and professional growth in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.Conduct safe VFR/IFR helicopter flights for emergency and interfacility medical transports
Perform thorough preflight and postflight inspections and flight planning
Evaluate weather, terrain, and operational risk to ensure go/no-go decisions align with company policies
Maintain strict compliance with FAA regulations and Med-Trans operational and safety procedures
Communicate effectively with dispatch, ATC, hospitals, and EMS partners
Coordinate closely with medical crew to support patient care needs and mission timelines
Operate and monitor aircraft systems, avionics, and navigation equipment, including NVG when applicable
Complete accurate flight logs, reports, and required documentation
Participate in recurrent training, check rides, and safety programs
Support a safety-first, mission-driven culture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Rotorcraft flight operations (VFR/IFR)
HEMS/air medical flight procedures
Advanced weather interpretation and risk assessment
Helicopter performance and weight-and-balance calculations
Use of modern avionics, GPS, and navigation systems
Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations
Radio communications with ATC and EMS/dispatch
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Emergency and abnormal procedures management
Regulatory compliance with FAA Part 135 and company SOPs

Instrument Helicopter (IFR) Rating
Class I or II FAA Medical Certificate

Completion of company recurrent training and safety programs
