Description

Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Helicopter Pilot to support Emergency Services air medical missions. The pilot ensures safe, efficient helicopter operations for interfacility and scene flights, working closely with critical care teams to transport patients in time-sensitive situations. Responsibilities include preflight planning, aircraft inspection, weather evaluation, NVG/IFR operations where applicable, strict adherence to FAA and company safety standards, and effective communication with medical crews, dispatch, and ATC. Conduct safe helicopter operations for emergency scene and interfacility medical transports
Perform comprehensive preflight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and documentation
Evaluate weather and operational risk, making safe-go/no-go decisions within FAA and company guidelines
Operate under VFR and, where applicable, IFR and NVG environments in compliance with Part 135 standards
Coordinate effectively with medical crews, dispatch, and ATC to ensure timely patient transport
Maintain strict adherence to Med-Trans safety management systems, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and check rides to sustain proficiency and currency
Complete flight logs, reports, and required documentation accurately and promptly
Support base readiness, including aircraft cleanliness, basic ground handling, and hangar operations
Contribute to a culture of teamwork, clinical excellence support, and compassionate patient-focused service
