Description
Med-Trans Corporation seeks a Helicopter Pilot to provide safe, efficient air medical transport for emergency and critical care patients. Based within the Emergency Services department, you will conduct VFR/IFR helicopter operations, perform thorough preflight planning and aircraft inspections, and work closely with medical and ground teams to support time-sensitive missions. Med-Trans offers a safety-first, mission-driven culture with strong emphasis on clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development in a highly technical, life-saving environment.Conduct safe VFR/IFR helicopter operations for emergency and interfacility medical transport
Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and documentation per FAA and company standards
Execute detailed flight planning, including weather, routing, weight and balance, and fuel management
Coordinate closely with medical crew, dispatch, and ground EMS/hospital partners during missions
Operate within Part 135, company SOPs, SMS, and all regulatory requirements
Maintain high proficiency in NVG, instrument, and night operations as required by the program
Participate in safety meetings, training, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives
Complete accurate flight, duty, and maintenance discrepancy reports
Support base readiness, including aircraft cleanliness, equipment checks, and hangar operations
Represent Med-Trans professionally with patients, families, hospitals, and partner agencies
Rotor-wing flight operations
IFR flight and procedures
Night vision goggle (NVG) operations
Weather analysis and flight planning
Weight and balance and performance calculations
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Radio communications and airspace coordination
Emergency procedures and autorotation
Regulatory compliance (FAR Part 135)

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter Certificate
Instrument Helicopter Rating
Current Class II (or higher) FAA Medical Certificate

Air medical/HEMS experience preferred
Valid state driver’s license
NVG experience preferred
CRM and SMS training
